Every 3rd Wednesday, 5-6pm on Zoom
Tradeswomen Wednesday is a weekly outreach event that we host in collaboration with the Northeast Center for Tradeswomen Equity. Enjoy a short presentation on union building trades careers for women and hear from women in the field about the ups and downs of life in the trades. Register here and attend on zoom.
Wednesday May 28th, 4pm, Building Pathways Boston and Zoom
This is a workshop for all Tradeswomen who are interested in deepening their understanding of the policy side of how we are able to secure work for women with a demand-side strategy.
Have you ever noticed that some jobs have more women on them than others? That's not a coincidence, and it is usually due to a number of strategies that have been developed and tested over the past through the Policy Group on Tradeswomens Issues (PGTI).
In this workshop we will focus specifically on HIPP "High Impact Poor Performers." These are the contractors on site who are consistently not meeting the project's hiring goals for women work hours, and because of the large number of hours they are pulling on the project, that turns into a lot of missed opportunity for us.

Past Events
March 2nd, 11am, The Boathouse Restaurant South Hadley
WMTW is excited to continue our tradition of celebrating Women in Construction Week by treating ourselves to a brunch all together. This year we were able to reserve the banquet room at the Boathouse in South Hadley, so we can accommodate a larger crowd than usual. Menu is available on The Boathouse website linked here. We will be having the “Brunch Buffet Menu.” Tickets are $40 for the full brunch and include tax and tip. Drinks can be purchased separately from waitstaff or the bar. Consider paying $60 instead and help sponsor a sister - we don’t want lack of funds to keep anyone away. Money can be sent to sister Emma Golden on Paypal @EmmaGolden413 and must be purchased ahead of time. If you would like to come but aren’t sure if you can come up with the cash, let us know. We will have plenty of sponsorship available. For those with dietary restrictions, you are welcome to attend and order separately off the menu. Just let us know your RSVP. We hope to see you all!
February 15th, 5pm, Pulaski Hall Easthampton
WMTW has participated informally in this event for the past few years, and this coming weekend we are excited to cheer on some new tributes in the brackets! This is an arm wrestling competition for silliness, liberation, and for charity. Competitors dress up as a character of their choice, bring an entourage to collect funds from the crowd, an entrance song (of course), and may the strongest win! Funds are donated to a feminist cause. The brackets are full already for this event, but consider attending to cheer our trade sisters on!
January 19th, 8am-2pm, Location TBD
WMTW has a lot of questions facing us in 2025 and we need a dedicated space to wrestle with them. Do you appreciate our community and want to be part of the decision making process? RSVP to fentonchelsea596@gmail.com. The more minds, diversity, and creativities we have involved, the better.
